The victim, Abigail Asare, a second-year student at the school and resident of Accra, reportedly visited her boyfriend, Emeka, a Togolese national, on the morning of Friday, June 2, 2023, shortly after school closed for the mid-term holidays.
According to reports, Emeka left the shop where they were together, leaving Abigail behind. Shortly thereafter, a customer who entered the shop for a haircut discovered Abigail’s lifeless body on the floor, covered in blood from knife wounds.

Alarmed by this horrifying sight, the eyewitness immediately notified the Akyem-Nsutem police, who in turn informed the Kyebi police. Officers from the Kyebi Divisional Police Command promptly arrived at the scene. The police then transported Abigail’s body to the Kyebi Government Hospital, where it will be preserved and undergo an autopsy as part of the ongoing investigation.
