According to Asare, GES is actively working to hire around 24,000 teachers in 2024 to bolster the teaching workforce in public basic schools and SHS/TVET institutions nationwide. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to address the issue of inadequate staff in schools and enhance the quality of education in Ghana. The additional teachers are expected to contribute to reducing the teacher-to-student ratio, creating a more conducive learning environment, and improving the overall education sector.
