The various District and Municipal Education Offices have confirmed that teaching and non-teaching staff who took part in the December 2021 promotion exams with a notionally effect date of 1st September 2020 and substantively 1st June 2022 letters are ready at the various districts and municipal education directorates.

Why Some People May Not Receive Their Promotion Letters

It is evident that some people may not receive their letters of promotion or upgrade, particularly those who upgrade through a back door without following the proper procedures and obtaining the requisite paperwork.

What Are The New Changes Made By GES On Promotion

Prior to providing promotion letters, the GES used to promote employees who passed the promotion exams. This indicates that the qualified individuals were placed on a salary scale without receiving a promotion document.

According to information obtained from the GES Headquarters, the final group of employees who took the promotion examinations will receive their promotion letters before they are put on scales. Individuals will therefore need to complete IPPD forms once they receive their letters.

This is likely the cause of the delay in promotions for this group of staff.
