Official Date For 2023 BECE (BECE 2023 Time Table)
Junior High School students in Form Three can now mark their calendars for the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) as the Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the official date. According to the new calendar for Basic schools, released in early February, the exam will be conducted by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) from August 7th to August 11th 2023.
Last year, the exam was administered from October 17th to October 21st. WAEC has already released the official exam timetable and dates for all candidates.
It’s worth noting that the 2023 BECE in August will be the last exam for students using the old curriculum. In 2024, the standard base curriculum will be used instead. To ensure that no students are unfairly penalized, the GES has instructed head teachers not to hold back any student who was in Form Two at the end of the 2022 academic year.
Below is the official 2023 BECE timetable for candidates. Please note that the timetable is subject to change by WAEC, depending on the date of each paper.
