On Wednesday, April 5th, 2023, the first session of the 2023 academic year will officially conclude for single-track schools in Ghana.

As per the academic schedule for single track Senior High Schools in 2023, Form Three students who began on January 10th will take a break on April 5th and are expected to return to school on April 17th.

Similarly, Form Twos in the same category will also take a break on April 5th and have time off from April 6th to April 16th. The second semester is set to commence on April 17th and will run until August 25th, 2023.

Form One students will follow the same two-term academic schedule as Form Two students, and both groups will be on break starting April 5, 2023. From April 6 to April 16, 2023, Form One students will be on a break and will stay at home. The second term for Form One will commence from April 17, 2023 and will continue until September 15, 2023.

WHAT ABOUT DOUBLE TRACK SCHOOLS

Double track schools have released their 2023 Transitional Academic Calendar. For Form Threes, the first term starts on January 10, 2023 and ends on April 05, 2023. There will be a break from April 06, 2023 to April 16, 2023, and the second term will run from April 17, 2023 to June 01. After that, there will be another break from June 02, 2023 to June 08, 2023, and the third term will start from June 09, 2023 to September 15, 2023.

Form Twos in double track schools will have their first term from January 10, 2023 to February 17, 2023, with a break from February 18, 2023 to April 10, 2023. The second term will run from April 11, 2023 to June 01, 2023, and there will be a break from June 02, 2023 to August 11, 2023. Finally, the third term will resume from August 14, 2023 to November 30, 2023.

For Form Ones in double track schools, the first term will start from February 20, 2023 to April 13, 2023, and there will be a break from April 14, 2023 to June 08, 2023.

WHAT ABOUT BASIC SCHOOLS

Basic schools in Ghana are presently on break, with the second term scheduled to begin on April 3, 2023 and end on June 15, 2023. There will be a break from June 16, 2023 to June 26, 2023, after which the third term will commence from June 27, 2023 to September 14, 2023.
