A South African state speaker has been trending on social media for the past few hours after her Nigerian boyfriend released a very intimate video of herself to the public because she refused to pay a bribe.
Zanele Sifuba is a South African politician, educator, and member of the African National Congress. Was nominated as a speaker for the Free State in May of 2019. As someone who is in the public eye and a member of parliament, it is important for them to ensure that they keep up with having a good image.
But unfortunately for the free state speaker, after the video was released by her Nigerian boyfriend because she refused to pay him R300,000, she has been receiving a lot of public scrutiny, especially because she is also an elderly woman, and people did not expect to see such an intimate and private video of herself released to the public.
The young Nigerian man who released the video of her has not been identified, but her office has ordered to conduct an investigation about this and stated that whoever spread the video will face the law as it is harassment and an insult to elderly women.
