Pursuant to (Section 60/i) of the Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020, Act 1023, which mandates the National Teaching Council to establish standards for the teaching profession, the Council has developed the National Teachers’ Standards (NTS) to ensure professionalism among teachers.

The Council intends to conduct compliance checks within the months of March and April 2024. in all Second Cycle Institutions in the Greater Accra, Eastern, Volta, Central and Western Regions in accordance with its mandate.
To aid the Compliance Officers in this exercise, the Council request all Heads of Second Cycle Institutions (both Public and Private) in the selected regions to provide data on all teachers In their schools, both professionals and non- professionals, prior to the coming of the Compliance Officers.
