2023 SHS Placement: Your Aggregates And The Likely School You Will Get

The 2023 SHS Placement is expected to be released in February, but BECE graduates and parents must be wondering what the likely school choices the student may be placed in for their respective grades and raw scores.

PLACEMENT FOR SALE EXPOSE MAKES NONSENSE OF CSSPS

Note that, the fact that all two or more candidates scored the same aggregate and chose the same school and programme does not guarantee that they will all be placed in the same school. The placement will often be based on the raw scores, and that will cause the students to be placed from the student with the highest raw score to the lowest for a particular school and programme until the available slots for each school or programme are exhausted.

Another reality is that not all BECE graduates who obtain let’s say aggregate 9 and chose PRESEC-Legon will be placed in that school. The program-specific competition, raw scores, accommodation choice and other factors will count. Someone may obtain 9 and choose General Arts and get placed. Another may obtain 8 and choose General Science and not get placed in the same PRESEC-Legon.

Candidates whose results are pending, withheld by WAEC or cancelled will not be placed
