Information from Ministry of Education, Ghana indicating that all basic school from KG – JHS should go back to their normal Trimester System.

It may be recalled that the Ministerial Committee on School Calendar issued a calendar for the current academic year indicating that Kindergarten to Junior High School was to be based on the Semester system.

Following the directives to commence the Semester system, the Ministry has received representation from a section of the public and key educational stakeholders to re-instate the Trimester system.

After further consultation on the issue, the Honorable Minister for Education has directed that the calendar for Kindergarten to Junior High School for the current academic year should revert to the Trimester system.

Consequently, the dates for the various school terms for Kindergarten to Junior High School are as follows:

1ST TERM

18^TH JANUARY, 2022 – ———————14^TH APRIL, 2020(12WEEKS)

15^TH APRIL, 2020—————————– 9^TH MAY, 2020 (VACATION)

2^ND TERM

10^TH MAY, 2022——————————18^TH AUGUST, 2022 (14WEEKS)

19^TH AUGUST, 2022————————-12^TH SEPTEMBER, 2022 (VACATION)

3^RD TERM

13^TH SEPTEMBER, 2022———————–22^ND DECEMBER, 2022(14WEEKS)
