Ghana is commemorating its 66th Independence Day today, March 6, 2023, in Ho, the capital of the Volta Region. The Volta Regional Youth Resource Centre in Adaklu is hosting the event in conjunction with the Adaklu District.
Since the announcement, the Volta Regional Coordinating Council has put forth a lot of effort to make this year’s commemoration special.
The event’s theme this year is “Our Unity, Our Strength, Our Purpose,” and President Umaro Sissoco Embaló of Colombia is the Special Guest of Honor.

I think all schools will be closed for Tuesday 7th March. That has been the norm whenever the independence day celebration falls on a week day. It has never been a holiday for only the participating schools.
