The NTC has started the registration process for the 2023 Teacher Licensure Exams, and has also released details regarding the exams’ dates, timetable, and fees.
The portal for registration of the 2023 teacher licensure examination has been opened by the National Teaching Council. It’s important to note that the ongoing registration process is solely for re-sit candidates.
In light of the GTLE reforms slated for implementation this year, the Council has granted three opportunities for candidates who are associated with the traditional GTLE (Essential Professional Skills, Literacy, and Numeracy) to make amends. The first chance was availed during the 2022 GTLE 2.
This year, re-sit candidates have two chances at their disposal. The current registration process for the 2023 GTLE 1 is one of those chances. After the two chances have been utilized, there will be no examination conducted for the traditional GTLE subjects in 2024 and beyond. Any candidate who wishes to take the GTLE again will need to begin anew with the GTLE dispensation from 2024 onward.
ELIGIBILITY FOR THE LICENSURE EXAMINATION.
Individuals who have taken the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination and did not pass certain papers have the opportunity to register for a re-sit. To apply, these candidates must complete the licensure examination application form online at exams.ntc.gov.gh.
Registration fees are as follows for candidates who are re-sitting papers:
- For one paper: GHȻ 150.00
- For two papers: GHȻ 210.00
- For all three papers: GHȻ 385.00
Payment can be made at any branch of Prudential Bank Ltd nationwide or through mobile money payment by dialing 77251# on any network. If paying at a bank, candidates must inform the bank about the number of papers they are re-sitting. After payment, candidates should collect their Pin and Serial No. from the bank.
To complete the registration process, candidates should visit exams.ntc.gov.gh and enter their e-voucher Serial No. and Pin. They should fill in all the required fields and upload a passport-size photograph.

Please note that NTC will not entertain any requests for changing photographs after the examination.

After registering for the licensure examination, candidates should keep their PIN and SERIAL NUMBERS secure for further use.
