The AFS Effect+ for the Classroom scholarship for teachers! This program has been selected by UNESCO-APCEIU as one of the Education for Intercultural Understanding/Global Citizenship Education Best Practices.

No matter what subject, teachers can help their students discover the SDGs and become Active Global Citizens with the AFS Effect+ for the Classroom.

This is a virtual program where high school teachers learn about key concepts and principles of global citizenship education, and how to foster it with their students. This is also open to the general public so please share to your network.

AFS Intercultural Programs values diversity and inclusion, including multilingualism. However, in order to effectively communicate in a cross cultural and global setting we require participants to speak English proficiently for the program. That does not mean you must be perfectly fluent, but you must feel confident in your ability to contribute to the program’s forums and live sessions (in English).

9. Have you previously earned the AFS Global Competence Certificate (GCC) through a Global Up Educator program?

(This program will require you to complete online learning modules and connect to 4 different 90 minute synchronous live zoom sessions. These live sessions will occur between 3 February, 2024 and 10 March, 2024 and are required in order to receive the AFS Global Competence Certificate.)
